The Kettering Ukulele Plus Ensemble was formed back in June 2016 when a group of regular ukulele players got together to break the mould of just singing and strumming.

We decided to challenge ourselves musically and to play a wider variety of musical genres.

To give ourselves scope, part of the mould breaking was to include instruments other than the voice and ukulele: hence the 'Plus' in our name.

So whilst we still play a lot of what I refer to as the 'Radio 2 Standards' we also include genres such as: Gypsy Jazz; Standards from the 1900s, 20s, 30s and 40s; Popular Classics; and the traditional fiddle tunes.

An eclectic mix, I’m sure you’ll agree, which should appeal to all.

(The 'Plus' in our current line-up includes the mandolin, flute, clarinet, whistle, recorder, tuba, harmonica, glockenspiel and drums.)

Please use the contact form below to get in touch if you wish to book us to play at any of your functions (we'd be happy to oblige).
